Due to some problems with some of the maps around Liverpool Street, we’re a little late deploying our January updates, but here they are!
- The Peterborough to Doncaster (GN-GE Joint Line) now covers up to Retford Low Level
- Many of the Great Eastern route maps now contain route indications as far as Southend Victoria
- The Crossrail portal west of Stratford International is now included
- The Edinburgh map now joins up with the Fife Circle map at the northern end, and has been extended further south to join up with the map ending at Berwick-upon-Tweed
Finally, if you’re in London on Tuesday 11th February, I’m presenting to the Institution of Railway Signalling Engineers. Tickets are free, but you need to be quick – sign up at Eventbrite.
Great to able to follow a service all the way from Kings Cross to Waverley !
It was amazing to see how quiet the whole ECML was yesterday during Storm Ciara.
Tell me (for my own education), in a map such as “Peterborough (exc.) to Retford Low Level and Doncaster (exc.)”, what does the “(exc.)” mean?
Thanks
PAUL
Exclusive e.g. it does not cover the area.
Got it ! – Thanks James.
(Although it helped me to think of it as “Excluded”)
Therefore, one of the maps in the London North Eastern section should really be called “Retford (exc.) to Colton Junction (exc.)” ?
Excluded, or similar.
Worcester parkway needs adding on the Cheltenham map as it opens next week.
Some really good work done here…
‘Peterborough to Doncaster (GN-GE Joint Line)’
Thank you for this! It’s got to be my favourite line, love to see the signalling and green track route indicator, hope Peterborough and Stoke bank will be done the same soon.
Cheers!
